的歌—男孩特區的No matter what。

Love at first sight for UK's oldest newlyweds
By Felix Lowe 20/11/2007
Bowled over by his good looks, she, a modern woman in the 21st century,
made the first move, using the time-honoured chat-up line "do you come
here often?".
The ice broken, a smitten James Mason - not the iconic actor, but every bit
the showman - replied "every day". Three days later, after a series of
dates by the seaside, the former Torbay Mayor popped the question to a
proud Peggy Clark.
And now, just weeks after their whirlwind romance started under such
inauspicious circumstances, the couple believed to be Britain's oldest
newlyweds have tied the knot - on the bride's 85th birthday.
The couple, with a combined age of 178, became husband and wife at
Oldway Mansion in Paignton.
Wearing a long white dress, a glittering tiara, a fur wrap and necklace, and
carrying a bouquet of white roses, Mrs Clark arrived in a vintage Jaguar.
Mr Mason, 93, wore a traditional grey top hat and tails, with a white rose
carnation in his lapel.
Arm in arm, the happy couple strolled down the aisle to Boyzone's 'No
Matter What', one of the bride's favourite songs.
Mrs Clark, a retired driver from Paignton, whose first husband of 25 years
died in 1982, described the ceremony as "a fairy tale".
She said she had not wanted to spend another Christmas alone, adding:
"Winter is very cold and lonely at our age." Great grandfather Mr Mason,
a former manager of the Imperial Hotel in Torquay, and a widower for ten
years, said before the ceremony: "It is never too late to fall in love.
"I might be the oldest groom in Britain but I'm also the proudest."
The couple met on her first visit to Paignton Day Centre just five weeks
ago, and began spending time with each other.
Mr Mason said he proposed because "she is so lovely," and Mrs Clark said
she was won over by the handsome man with "twinkling eyes."
"He said the only way to stop people gossiping was to get married. I could
not believe it. He was proposing," she said.
Guests at wedding ceremony included Torbay's current mayor Nick Bye
and Mr Mason's two children, Terry, 65, and Sue, 61. After the ceremony
the couple enjoyed a reception at the Imperial Hotel in Paignton and will
enjoy a honeymoon at a hotel in Torquay.
Ann Harding, manager of Paignton Day Centre, said: "We might have to
start calling it the Love Centre."
Speaking afterwards, registrar Lia (corr) D'Alessandro, said official
records showed that James and Peggy are currently Britain's oldest
newly-weds. She said: "It's very, very sweet. We have checked and it is
certainly the oldest in the country in terms of combined age. "It was
originally going to be a quiet affair. I think it is wonderful they want to
share it with everyone."
They might have broken the British record for oldest newlyweds, but the
world record still stands tall. According to the Guinness Book of World
Records the oldest couple to wed were a French pair who married in 2002,
aged 96 and 94 respectively - a total of 190 years.
