英國廿二歲女子凱莉．羅傑斯（Callie Rodgers）雖然年紀輕輕，
卻有異於常人的經歷，可以作為很多年輕人的借鏡。據《每日郵報》
報導，六年前，才十六歲的她獲得幸運之神眷顧，中了一百九十萬
英鎊彩金（約台幣一．○一億），想不到財富反而為她帶來諸多不幸。

　凱莉坦承，中獎後她開始放縱自己，不但酗酒、染上毒癮、
亂搞男女關係、還鬧自殺。她認識了前科累累的男友，開始吸食
古柯鹼，為此共揮霍了廿五萬英鎊。她說：「過去六年，我掉進
了一個大黑洞裡，一度以為會永遠爬不出來。」

　酗酒吸毒 因憂鬱症三度自殺

　凱莉花錢如流水，把彩金花在奢華度假，為家人買房子、
名牌衣服及跑車等。她說：「我不在乎，因為財富帶給我的只有
心痛。」

　她說，濫用藥物引發的憂鬱症，曾導致她企圖自殺三次。
最近一次是在去年十一月，當時她的毒梟男友回家後發現她倒臥
在地，手腕割傷。

　16歲中獎 無法應付暴增財富

　如今，凱莉自稱已痛改前非，並坦言年紀輕輕中大獎並非
好事。

　目前已有兩個小孩的她說：「老實說，我希望自己未曾中
獎，早知錢會害人，當初就該把獎金全還給彩金公司。我年紀太
小，加上自小一無所有，根本無法應付一夕暴增的財富。現在想
想，真希望當時有人能幫我保管這筆錢，等我長大，懂得理財後
再還我。」

　回歸平淡 帶著兩子與母同住

　當初的橫財幾已被她揮霍殆盡，凱莉目前銀行的全部存款
僅剩兩萬英鎊。她曾為四歲大的兒子設立一個兒童信託基金，但
遭到前男友「洗劫」，戶頭裡也只剩下一萬五千英鎊。

　現在凱莉已搬回去與母親同住，並下定決心要為兩個小孩
提供穩定的家庭生活。一夕暴富是許多人的夢想，但是，對凱莉
而言，卻是一場不堪回首的惡夢。

Not only did British teen lottery winner Callie Rogers,
22, blow through nearly all of a jackpot of over $3 million,
she spent a substantial amount of it on cocaine, the
Daily Mail reports.

Rogers told the Daily Mail that her ex-boyfriend Nicky
Lawson got her hooked on cocaine and that she spent
250,000 pounds (about $406,000) on the habit.

"I was spending a fortune on cocaine, a nasty evil drug
that tears your life apart," Rogers was quoted as
saying. "I'll be honest. about a quarter of a million
pounds of my win has been wasted on it."

The News reported earlier in August that the young
woman who won millions from the lottery as a
teenager was broke, but much happier that way.

At the tender age of 16, Rogers won a jackpot of 1.9
million pounds, or about $3.1 million. But the stress of
overnight riches caused lots of problems for the teen at
a time in life when a minimum-wage job is more than
many kids can manage.

"My life is a shambles and hopefully now it [the lottery
jackpot] has all gone I can find some happiness. It's
brought me nothing but unhappiness. It's ruined my
life," another article in the Daily Mail quoted a friend of
Rogers as saying.

Rogers has moved back into her mother's house and is
working three cleaning jobs to make ends meet,
according to the Mail. She has two children, ages one
and four, with Lawson.

Allegations that Lawson tried to steal her money and
the heartbreaking worries that resulted led Rogers to
attempt suicide - the first of two tries at ending her life,
according to the paper.

And how did she burn through the rest of the money so
quickly?

It was spent on expensive cars, gifts, loans to family
members, four houses she bought and furnished for
herself and family members, luxury vacations, plastic
surgery, clothing and partying, and a trust fund for her
children.

英國男子揮霍樂透大獎 酗酒而亡

英國媒體報導，英國男子(高夫)曾經獲得900萬英鎊樂透大獎，然而，中獎後的
他辭去工作，花天酒地，最後因為飲酒過度而暴斃。

現年58歲的高夫住在英國希羅普郡，是一名麵包師傅。他的妻子(路易斯)在一家
公司擔任秘書。2005年，路易斯在報攤購買了一張彩券，竟然中獎，高達900
萬英鎊的橫財從天而降，令全家喜不自禁，他們的人生也從此改變。夫婦倆買了
房子、名車，過上有錢人的生活。

中獎後，高夫立即辭去麵包師的工作。他用6萬英鎊購買BMW敞篷轎車，用35萬
英鎊買下一家英超俱樂部的貴賓包廂，他迷上賭馬，開始因(無聊)而花天酒地，
甚至包養情婦。

正因如此，兩年後，高夫與妻子的婚姻破裂，他獲得150萬英鎊的贍養費。他以
百萬英鎊租下了一幢豪宅，雇用了私人司機、園丁，獨自生活。不幸的是，他遇
到一個騙子，騙取了他剩下的錢財。

最後，高夫因為一直在酒吧酗酒，心臟病發死亡。

A Lottery winner who won nearly ￡1million five years ago hanged
himself at his luxury four-bedroom home.

After winning ￡867,454 in 2005, Richard Lang, 31, went on
expensive holidays and bought expensive cars. But friends and
family were left shocked when he was found dead at his 400,000

house in Broughton Astley, Leicestershire, in May.

Today Richard's devastated mother Yvonne Greenwood, 65, said
her son 'just loved life' but 'drank a bit too much'.

She said: 'We know he hanged himself but we have no idea why. It
is a mystery. He must have been desperate. 'Richard had no long-
standing girlfriend but there had been a succession through his life.

'He didn't like the limelight but we told him he would be better off
being looked after by the lottery people as he was on his own.

'They provided legal and financial advice and, in return, he would
turn out for publicity events.'

The British Waterways canal worker won the money with a lucky
dip ticket but continued his day job.

He moved out of his mother and stepfather Graham's terraced
house in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire, and bought a mansion in a
nearby village.
